The Interleukin-1 family (IL-1 family) is a group of 11 cytokines, which plays a central role in the regulation of immune and inflammatory responses to infections or sterile insults. Rec. E. coli interleukin-1 for cell culture or antibody production.

ELISA Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays Code 90320007 SNOMED,Mouse or mice from the Mus musculus species are used for production of mouse monoclonal antibodies or mabs and as research model for humans in your lab. Mouse are mature after 40 days for females and 55 days for males. The female mice are pregnant only 20 days and can give birth to 10 litters of 6-8 mice a year. Transgenic, knock-out, congenic and inbread strains are known for C57BL/6, A/J, BALB/c, SCID while the CD-1 is outbred as strain.

How the elisa works

Sample the amount of 100ul/well of the standard solution at 300pg/ml, 150pg/ml, 75pg/ml, 37.5pg/ml, 18.8pg/ml, 9.4pg/ml, 4.7pg/ml mouse IL-1 alpha standard solutions into the precoated 96-well plate. Add 0.1ml of the sample diluent buffers into the control well (Zero well). Add 0.1ml of each properly diluted sample of mouse cell culture supernatant or serum to each empty well. See “Sample dilutions Guideline” above for details. We recommend that each mouse IL-1 alpha standard solution and each sample is measured in duplicate.

ELISA kit description

GENTAUR's mouse IL-1 alpha ELISA test is a ready to use ELISA kit. We use a monoclonal from rat specific for IL-1 alpha has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards (E.coli,S115-S270) and your samples are measured with a biotin conjugated polyclonal from goat specific for IL-1 alpha will than be washed with PBS. The colour reaction with TMB on HRP will colour the well from blue to yellow with the stop solution. The more mouse IL-1 alpha in your sample the higher the ELISA signal will be compared to this elisa's standard curve.

More gene info

Interleukin-1 alpha(IL-1 alpha) and interleukin-1 beta(IL-1 beta) are two biochemically distinct, but distantly related, polypeptidic cytokines that play a key role in inflammation, immunologic reactions, and tissue repair. IL-1 alpha has been implicated in the pathogenesis of infectious, autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Recently, it has been shown that IL-1 alpha is identical to hematopoietin 1, which is described as a hematopoietic growth factor acting on early progenitor cells in synergy with other hematopoietic growth factors.1 The human interleukin 1 alpha gene is assigned to chromosome 2. Genetic polymorphisms at interleukin(IL-1alpha and IL-1beta) have been recently suggested to be associated with severity of adult periodontitis. The murine IL-1 alpha and IL-1 beta genes encode structurally and evolutionarily related cytokines that exert a regulatory role in numerous physiological processes including hemopoiesis. The standard product used in this kit is recombinant mouse IL-1alpha with the molecular mass of 18kDa.
